Phlebodium aureum is a rhizomatous fern closely related to other ferns in the genera Polypodium and Davallia. Their creeping rhizomes are cute and furry, but their large, blueish fronds turn them into a statement plant for any home. Nicknamed the Blue Star Fern because of their unique foliage color, Phlebodium aureum is native to Central and South America, and is easy to care for. Because it has adapted to seasonal dryness in its native environment, it's a very forgiving addition to any plant collection.

PLANT CARE

• Light: Perfect for medium or bright, indirect light
• Water: Keep evenly moist, including rhizomes. Water when the first inch of soil feels dry to the touch
• Considerations: Thrives in humid conditions, avoid placing near vents and drafty areas. Shallow root system - deep planters aren't necessary. Pet friendly!
