Why monsteras make the best houseplant

Here are our two cents on the world's trendiest houseplant (and why you need at least one, preferably five)

I'm gonna start off with a bold statement - monsteras are THE best houseplant. Period.

Why? Three simple reasons: they're beautiful, they're easy and they're pretty damn iconic. After all, nothing screams indoor jungle quite like a big juicy monstera taking over a corner of your living room.

Monsteras are the quintessential jungle plant. One look at them and you're instantly transported to a hot and humid rainforest, far away from whatever chilly and drafty flat you call home in New Zealand.

But where do we start? How did the monstera become THE most recognizable houseplant? Why do we say you need five of them? Read on.
