Website Workshop - Create Your Dream Website in 1 Day!

Join us for a 1-day intensive workshop, where you will learn the basics of how to build and design a modern, stylish, mobile-responsive website using the Wix Content Management System (CMS). Our expert web designer and all-around legend Hollie Woodhouse of Mountain House Creative will teach you the ins and outs of Wix without having to know code! 

You'll leave NODE with a modern fully-functioning website to be proud of that includes images, animation, galleries, video, social links, SEO, email sign-ups, and more.

This workshop is for business owners, entrepreneurs, startups or anyone wanting to learn how to build a website quickly and easily. 

Trying to build a website yourself is intimidating. We get it. Hiring a developer and designer can take months and can set you back tens of thousands of dollars. We'll help you get seen online, and take you through all the steps needed to set up your own website OR hone your knowledge of Wix and give you a deeper and more advanced understanding of the platform.

Hollie has more than 15 years' of design skills and expereince – utilise her design skills throughout the day to help with any design issues/questions you might have.

Suits beginners to intermediate Wix users. No previous design or coding skills required.

How to prepare / what to bring:

This is a hands-on workshop, so you will need your own laptop and power cable. Prior to the workshop, you will receive an email with your pre-workshop homework, including a suggested list of tasks to be completed before the workshop. Preparing written content and gathering images/photos prior to class is encouraged but not required. Those who come prepared will be able to complete their website during the workshop.

The day will be comprised of three parts 

1. Website Design and Build Basics
2. Designing your Website
3. Going Live + Tips and Tricks

This workshop is hands-on – you will use the skills you learn to build your website during the workshop.
