About

Led by the incredible plant carer and Christchurch local, Jördis of @i_foliage and supported by Liz, owner of Node and houseplant enthusiast, you will have a fun afternoon in Lyttelton learning how to make your own living hanging kokedama.

Join us here at NODE to learn the art and craft of the Japanese Kokedama - a traditional bonsai form. Kokedama, simply translated, means "moss ball." Sometimes called string gardens, each kokedama can sit in a shallow dish or hang with the attached line loop, making them lovely additions to any window or tabletop or hanging around your home. In this all-inclusive class, you'll create your own Kokedama from an exotic plant of your choosing, and learn best practices for care and upkeep to keep your new string garden beautiful and healthy in the coolest little spot in Lyttelton.

In this hands-on class, you'll create your very kokedama choosing from our wide array of…
